Our club has had numerous guest speakers of varied backgrounds from around the world! All focusing on our strong and proud history, as well as our sense of purpose. Among them were

 

·   Chakufwa Chihana, Yusuf McDadlly Juwayeyi, renowned Anthropologist whose lecture focused on prehistoric technology and economy and how, when, and why they change through time. He also discovered a hominid that pre-dated LUCY on a dig sponsored by the Leaky Foundation.

 

·   Wyclef Jean who spoke w/ the students about working hard and setting goals. During this exchange Wyclef sat in on a jam session with MLK Club member Eric Hudson. Eric performed with Wyclef at Carnegie Hall.

 

·   Carla Peterman, Rhodes Scholar and a former SOMS student.

 

·   Lauryn Hill Entertainer/Humanitarian and former MLK Club member.
